All-Inclusive Pet Grooming Pricing
Full Groom Pricing ranges from $35 (short-haired Chihuahua) to $95 (Bernese Mountain Dog)
Our prices include every service that most other grooming salons add to their base price as ala’ carte items resulting in higher than expected grooming fees.
We believe that each animal should receive special attention for every part of their bodies during the grooming process so they leave us feeling their absolute best…until next time!
There are no surprises at the register since everything is included.
We believe that our energy (mood) directly affects your pet’s disposition. They can feel our intentions for them.
Kind, patient, compassionate care creates an environment in which your pet can feel comfortable and calm. Our goal is for your pet to look forward to visiting our shop!
Pet groomers see your pet much more often than your veterinarian does. Because of this, they are the first line of defense when it comes to detecting illness or injury in your pet. Our groomers are knowledgeable enough to know when something just isn’t right or has changed since your last visit.
If we ever come across anything of concern, we will make certain that you are aware of it and advise you as to whether or not it is something that a veterinarian should take a look at.
At City Pets, we use luxurious, all-natural, American-made pet grooming and beauty products. All products are human grade quality. From Bobbi Panter’s Itchy Dog Shampoo to Warren London’s leave-in Hydrating Butter, there is a combination of products made especially for your pet.
The main purpose of a bath is to cleanse, but why not relax your pet in the process? We first select the proper shampoo and conditioner combination for your pet based on coat, skin and any allergies.
Our groomers then thoroughly cleanse and condition the coat in a calm and soothing manner. Our sprayers have adjustable water pressure, allowing the groomer to change it depending on the dog’s size, hair/fur type and general condition.
Included in every bath and full pet grooming session is a gentle, exfoliating blueberry facial. Made with oatmeal, the blueberry facial removes tear and beard stains while gently exfoliating the skin. The formula is tearless and soap-free, making it gentler than shampoo and perfect for cleansing your pet’s face.
Close attention is paid to your pet’s ears during the pet grooming process. Some dogs grow more hair inside the ears than others, and if necessary we will trim the hair with blunt tipped scissors or, in extreme cases, gently remove the hair prior to cleaning. We then use a gentle solution and a cotton swab to clean just inside of the ear.
If we ever suspect that there may be an infection or irritation we will absolutely inform you of that upon your return.
Included in the price of each groom is a routine check of your pet’s anal glands. Some pets require routine expression of their anal glands in order to maintain health and comfort. Since expressing anal glands is an individual choice, we ask that each client indicate their preference on the questionnaire prior to his/her first grooming appointment.
Some Veterinarian’s believe that it is best to address the procedure at medical appointments when a more technical procedure is followed, and only if necessary.
If your dog is showing signs of discomfort, and he/she is here for grooming, we suggest expressing the anal glands at that time.
Included in every groom is a nail trim (with clippers) and file (with dremel). This leaves the nail with a more rounded edge, meaning that your dog won’t accidentally scratch himself, scratch you, or scratch your furniture!
Many salons charge more for this service, but we feel that it is necessary for the health and comfort of you and your pet, and therefore it is our standard.
Each type of hair and fur requires different combs, tools and brushes to be properly maintained. We take time to brush or comb through any small knots or mats prior to bathing, and brush the fur while drying as well.
Brushing between professional pet grooming is essential to maintaining healthy skin and coat, and we are happy to recommend products and show you techniques. If use of the Furminator is necessary to control your pet’s shedding, we will happily provide that service and it is included in the price of most double coated breeds grooming.
We are a cage-free facility, and that extends to our drying practices. Each pet is hand dried, regardless of how long it may take. Cage dryers can be dangerous to the health of pets, even if closely monitored.
Our high velocity forced air dryers do not use heat to dry the hair. There is no risk of your pet being overheated in the process. The air pressure separates the hair, drying right down to the skin, never trapping moisture underneath the top layer of fur.
Depending on the season, your pet’s age, and your personal preference, you may have very specific desires for your pet’s hair cut and style. We always have our groomer consult with you before a pet grooming appointment, especially the first appointment, to decide what will work best for you and for your pet.
We want to not only meet, but exceed your expectations!
Our shampoos and conditioners are naturally low fragrance, due to their all-natural formulas. Warren London has a selection of light fragrances that we have chosen as our signature fragrance due to its subtle, fresh scent.
